Student Support & Recreation

Medical

Doctors are located on-campus. Australian students are covered under Medicare whilst international students are covered under Overseas Student Health Insurance.

Student Representative Council

Drawn from students at all year levels, the SRC performs a number of valuable roles. The SRC organises social activities and has the opportunity to have a say in all matters of importance to students, from the food served in the student dining hall through to academic issues.

Student Counselling

As the Student Welfare Manager, Toni Schammer’s main role is to ensure that students are given the help they need in addressing any issue that has the potential to impact on their study.

“I am usually the student’s first point of contact, I work with them to examine ways to best manage their particular situation, whether it be teaching or learning related, a cultural or personal matter, or accommodation difficulties.”

Toni also assists with student advocacy, health issues, welfare, accommodation, medical insurance and deals with a number of administrative matters such as medical insurance, complex visa issues, tax file numbers and more. She also maintains links with The Student Services Unit, The Health Centre within Regency Institute and broader community resources to which she can refer to if required.

All ICHM students can access additional learning support through the on-campus Student Services Unit who have professionally qualified staff that are able to assist.

ICHM Student Life
